Creating Inspiring Collage Art with a Global Perspective
In addition to art, Kathryn’s interests include photography, making
movies, sewing, travel, and golf. She has traveled to several countries in Africa, where she works with the non-profit organizations—World Women Work and Save the Elephants.
WorldWomenWork finds beautiful artisan goods made by women from all over Kenya, Nepal, India, and more. 100% of the profits from every purchase are given back to help fund women working for economic independence, a better community, and on the front lines of the conservation of critically endangered species and environments. Along with their travel partner Explore, Inc., they are involved with preserving the beautiful and rare African animals and environment for future generations to witness.
785 million people in the world lack access to clean water. GolfForeAfrica provides wells and clean water to those in Zambia, Africa, who often walk several hours daily to collect water for their families. Often times that water is carrying diseases. They are forever changing the lives of those in rural communities.
Most recently, she has been helping to raise money for Golf Fore Africa, another non-profit. Her experiences while traveling around the world have often provided themes for her collage art.
